The COV-090 device supports 16 VCG channels, and each VCG channel can be independently set to operate in single E1 conversion mode or multi E1 conversion mode. In single E1 conversion mode, each channel has a bandwidth of 1 E1; in multi E1 conversion mode, each channel has a maximum bandwidth of 16 E1.
This device is applied in the service convergence network and supports point-to-multipoint applications. The device adopts a simple CLI command-line management method based on RS232, and supports SNMP_V1 and SNMP_V2 protocols, as well as the C/S architecture network management platform NMView. It can easily complete complex network configuration, management, and maintenance.
This device complies with the EoPDH (Ethernet Over PDH) technology of ITU-T G.7041, G.7042, G.7043, and G.8040 standards, and can interoperate with devices following the same standards.
Characteristics:
The equipment is compact in its overall design. It features a 19-inch 1U chassis with a depth of 205mm and can be installed on standard cabinets.
E1 interface
It provides 8/16/24-channel E1 interface, and the option is available for either 75Ω unbalanced type or 120Ω balanced type.
The E1 interface, the jitter tolerance, the transfer characteristics and the output jitter all comply with the standards such as ITU-T G.703, ITU-T G.823 and G.742.
Support the line-side and device-side loopback functions of the local E1 under local control, and support the built-in bit error meter function of E1 for convenient fault diagnosis.
Ethernet interface
It is equipped with 2 Gigabit Ethernet electrical ports and 1 Gigabit Ethernet optical port, in compliance with the IEEE 802.3 series standards.
The Gigabit Ethernet electrical interface adopts RJ45 connector and supports self-negotiation. It can operate in five modes including 1000M full-duplex, 100M full/ half-duplex, and 10M full/ half-duplex. It also supports the adaptive function of cross and straight-through network cables.
The Gigabit Ethernet optical port adopts 1.25G SFP optical module and operates in 1000M full-duplex mode. The transmission distance is selectable (depending on the SFP optical module of the device).
Support unicast frames, multicast frames and broadcast frames.
The MAC address list capacity is supported up to 4K. The aging time can be set to 12 seconds or 300 seconds. The default aging time is 300 seconds.
Support a minimum frame length of 64 bytes and a maximum frame length of 1552 bytes.
Support flow control function and broadcast storm filtering function
Support the dynamic learning function of MAC address
The WAN interface is equipped with loopback detection function.
The LAN port supports the function of port speed limitation.
Support port-based VLAN and tag-based VLAN functions in accordance with the IEEE 802.1Q standard.

Data Encapsulation Protocol
In single E1 conversion mode, GFP/HDLC encapsulation is supported; in HDLC encapsulation mode, frame PCM31/non-frame mode is supported, and the HDLC frame format is compatible with RJ017.
Under the multi-E1 conversion mode, GFP encapsulation is supported.
Communicate with remote devices :
In the single E1 conversion mode, it supports business intercommunication with remote protocol conversion devices and other devices that support the same Ethernet encapsulation protocol as ours.

Networking application
COV-090 supports point-to-multipoint applications. It is compatible with the series of remote REOP converters and devices such as single E1, 4E1, 8E1, etc., meeting the diverse bandwidth requirements of users. The COV-090 equipment supports up to 24 E1 channels and 16 channels (VCG). In the application, the Ethernet services of each remote user are transmitted through different VCGs. Each channel (VCG) supports bandwidth ranging from 1 to 16 E1, but the total bandwidth of 16 channels (VCG) cannot exceed 24 E1.
